Youth With You Finale: In the final episode of Youth With You 2 released last week on May 30th, a 9-member girl group by the name of THE9 was born!

Though many said that the rankings of the final nine trainees, were rather predictable, most were in consensus when they revealed their shock over some of the results.

The ranking came in as follows (ranked from first to the last): Liu Yuxin, Esther Yu, Kiki Xu, Yuyan, Xie Keyin, Anqi, Zhao Xiaotang, Snow Kong and K Lu.

The anxiety was real for the trainees during the announcement of their rankings. In particular, Youth With You revealed the 9th ranked trainee the last, sending K Lu herself in a mad screaming frenzy when she was announced as the final member. That said, netizens gave their sympathies to Nine One, who was ranked 10th, and also Aria Jin who came in 11th place.

At the end of a 6 month survival show journey, the trainees mostly broke down in tears, unable to contain the emotions as the most difficult journey of the lives have finally came to an end.

The Coming One - Superband announces mentor line-up: The Coming One confirmed that GEM, Zhou Zhennan from R1SE, Ouyang Nana, Lang Lang and Liang Long will be the mentors for the coming season of the show.

The talent survival show adopts a similar concept to its Western counterparts such as “American Idol”, where the show would shortlist its participants based off their existing talents. The fate of the up-and-coming idol will then be decided at the hands of the voters.

In case you’re curious the past champions of the show include popular singers like Mao Buyi, Wei Ze Cai and Zhang Yuqi.

The show is slated to air this July, along with The Street Dance of China!

Luhan’s Slow Motion MV gets accused of plagiarism:
Fans of the Japanese band, Yorushika, band have accused Luhan’s new “Slow Motion” MV of ‘stealing’ the animation from former’s “Moonlight” MV. As a result, Rock Forward Entertainment decided to remove Luhan’s MV completely from the internet as they investigate further into the allegations.

1. Zhang Yixing (LAY)’s new album “Lotus” sold out 1.5 million digital copies. Just within 7 minutes of its release on June 1st.

2. LuHan’s album "π-volume.3" exceeded 2,000,000 copies in sales - Ranking first in the QQ music best-seller charts! He also drops the MV for his new album’s title track - Slow Motion.

3. Victoria Song drops the MV for her song - Yearning.

4. Cai Xukun (KUN)’s new song “Lover” - the singer gets support from his RunningMan co-stars like Angelababy. We even get a glimpse of him dancing to his new single on Douyin!

5. WayV announced the release of their first full album - Awaken The World. It’s about time these boys make a comeback!

Top News In Film & TV Drama Series

1. Being A Hero confirms that Wang Yibo and Chen Xiao will star as the two male leads for the drug and crime themed drama.

2. Challenges At Midlife officially announces their star-studded cast. The lead characters will be played by Lei Jiayin, Yuan Quan, Zhang Yixing and Jia Nailing.

3. Use For My Talent, the rom-com drama announces that Shen Yue and Jasper Liu will be the male and female leads! Pentagon’s Yan An will also be furthering his acting career in the series.

4. Actor Bian Cheng gets blasted for rude comments towards his co-star Ren Min. In a recent livestream with the actress, the 15 year-old actor commented that his first impression of co-star was “someone who's not very good looking, not very tall, just a jiejie (older sister) who is average...” He even adds that she has “stinky feet” which was why she had to soak it every night. His comments come as a shock to netizens, as it was barely a day after the finale episode of their drama, Serenade of Peaceful Joy, was aired.
